you guessed it...ANOTHER party

The day after we spent the evening with my family partying for Carlee's birthday Carson's sister, Deesa and her family came to party with us. We went to the North Shore Aquatic Center with everyone and swam until we couldn't swim anymore. Carlee LOVED it. She LOVES swimming and LOVES her cousins so it was the perfect party yet again. They also gave her the PERFECT gift. Her very own ELMO BLANKET! She hasn't let it go since she opened it. She cannot go to sleep without it and wants to take it everywhere with her including church. SOOO funny. Thanks Deesa and family. We love you guys!

Another party...

We had a little family night at my sister Colette's pool. It was so fun! We met at her house and had dinner and opened presents and then we all went swimming. Carlee had a blast! I love spending time with family. Thanks everyone for spoiling Carlee. She LOVES being with all of your and ALL of her gifts.

Family Tradition

Ever since I was just a little girl I can remember the morning of my birthday the kitchen table was decorated and my birthday presents were wrapped and put on the table. I LOVED knowing I was waking up to that. It has always been a tradition for everyone in my family. Even when I was on my mission my Mom sent my companion a package and had her do it. Well I have now carried the tradition on in my own little family. This is Carlee with her birthday table on her fake birthday morning. She LOVED it. She was SO excited to see it when she woke up. Thanks Mom for starting such a fun tradition. . .

Angies new do---

Angie needed a haircut (almost as bad as Carson). Soooo we took her into Petco (after taking her to Petsmart and finding out our appt was not there). I was told on the phone that they have a basic package where they will trim her nails, cut her hair, brush her teeth and clean out her ears for $30.00. However, Carson just mentioned that was the best $45.00 we have ever spent (I am not sure what more they could have done, but they did send her home with a doggie spa treat/toy package). YIKES! Although she does look SO much cuter and smell so much better. These photos just don't do justice... She wouldn't pose for me, and she was pretty ugly before we took her in.

Staying cool!

On the 5th of July Carson went fishing with his Dad and Carlee and I went and checked out the Idaho Falls Mall. It was indoors with air conditioning. :) They have a little area that there are about 4 or 5 rides. Of course we had to use up all of our change. Carlee LOVED it!

Carlee's turn...

Part of the celebration of Carlee's 1st party in Idaho Falls as she turns 2(We have 3 more parties planned over the next couple of weeks. Yes, she is our only child!) is that her Grandma spoiled her after spending days searching the town for the PERFECT Elmo cake. She found it! Carlee LOVED it and couldn't wait to play with the Elmo and Big Bird on top (or stick her fingers in the frosting to taste it). Thanks so much Grandma Perkins!!! Thanks for the train too. She has also being playing with it.

4th of July FINALLY

Ready and waiting for the parade to start. She's got the 'burse' for the candy and her cowgirl hat on...

"Oh my gosh dang" she just kept saying with her hand over her mouth. . .

Ready for bed, but to "carwed (scared)" from the fireworks.

Carson's sister, Merlinn, and her hubby Travis (and baby Isaac) joined us for the fireworks.

Just the starting of them. The fireworks are the best west of the Mississippi. They are put on by Meleluca (sp?). They are the BEST I have EVER seen!

Finally Carlee got to experience the parade and fireworks. We had been telling her for weeks that it was almost time to go to the fireworks and parade for the 4th of July. She always acted really excited, but had NO clue what we were talking about. We had SO much fun on the 4th of July. It was the perfect weather and we were exhausted by the time the grand finale hit for the fireworks. We woke up and went to the Clearfield parade with my (Ashlee's) family and the drove straight from the parade to Idaho Falls to celebrate Malena's (Carson's baby sister) and Carlee's birthday at the Perkins and then to the Red Lion where we had a hotel reservation with a balcony that overlooked the fireworks. IT WAS SO FUN!!! Then we went in and went to bed. Carlee LOVED the parade, but the fireworks 'carwed (scared) me.' However, she is already looking forward to Pioneer Day here in Utah. More parades and fireworks.

Starting a new business...

I am SO proud of myself. Carson was sick last weekend and the weather was getting WAY too hot for our dog Angie to be left uncovered. I was feeling so bad for her. So, I went to Wal-mart and bought some supplies and this is what I came up with. I was proud of myself. She is much cooler and happier. I think I might start a business. Let me know if you are interested in me building you one. :) (PS: The weeds will be gone next week, hopefully. The landscapers are suppose to be coming to clear them and spread grass seed. I can't wait! If you have seen our backyard you will know why we hired it out instead of doing it ourselves. It is HUGE!)

The whole Perkins clan...

We got together a couple of weekends ago for Baby Ethan's blessing. It was so fun to be with Carson's family. It made me excited to go to Bear Lake with them later this summer. This is the WHOLE clan. Carson is the middle child with 2 older sisters and 2 younger sisters. Carlee LOVES being around her cousins and aunts and uncles. Thanks everyone. We had a fun time.
