NEW family members...

Carlee is getting a little lonely being the only child so we decided to get her some company. Meet our new family members (names to be decided, but right now they go by fishies):

Check out those teeth!!!

If all else fails...make another hole!

The other day when Carlee was not feeling good I took her on a ride to Sonic. I got her a slushie which she didn't want any thing to do with ... UNTIL WE GOT HOME. I went in the other room to do something and this is what I came out to. It was too funny to be mad.

Super SAD week...

This week has been a really hard one for my family and I. We lost two of our favorite people. Our cute friend Diane Higley passed away on Wednesday, Aug 6th at home. She fought a hard fight with cancer. We will miss her tons. Not only is she one of my Mom's best friends, but she is like a 2nd Mom to me. I will remember the many, many times we spent together either on trips, having cookies exchanges or just hanging out. She is one of the most unselfish people I have ever met. I will never forget her cute little giggle. We will miss you Di!

The other SAD news that we got today. Grandma Alice Adams passed away this morning surrounded by all of her kids. Although this is an answer to our MANY prayers it is still hard to know that she is gone. I am sure she is hugging my Grandpa (and maybe yelling at him for leaving her so early and for so long). :) Grandma was a fighter. I am not sure what she was holding on for. She has been in an assisted living home slowly getting weaker and skinny (despite my Dad taking her McDonald's and chocolates as often as he could) for over a year. We would always question each other as to what she was holding on for. I like to think that our sweet little Di did us a favor and talked Grandma into joining her on the other side. Thanks Di!!! Grandma and I went on MANY of trips together. Before I was married we were travel buddies. Even after I got married I got to join her in Nashville at the Grand ol' Opry as she got her award from Home Interiors. It was SO fun and an experience I will never forget. She loved to travel and so did I. Grandma was also the best cook EVER. I hope that someday I can make her shrimp salad, apple pie, pork chops, etc as good as she did, but I doubt I will. Anyhow, I could go on forever, but I won't... I love you Grandma. I will miss you TONS!!!
