My newest LOVE!

I am 100% addicted to Pinterest and I am not afraid to admit it. I have made the following items in the last week and at least 2 new recipes. I LOVE IT!!!

Korean Dress-Ups

While at my baby shower the other night Carlee went to the Huber's house. They have lived in Korea a couple of times due to being a military family. Apparently, Carlee found the dress ups at their house too. Here is her, Parker (who is in my primary class) and Makenna (her babysitter). All dressed Korean and looking cute. We LOVE the Huber Family!!!

Princess Carlee!

There is no question that Carlee is 100% ALL GIRL! She LOVES to dress up like a princess at least 3-4 times a day. She usually comes and asks me how she looks and if I want to take a picture of her. I can't say no to that!

She even does her own hair!

End of pregnancy...

You know that you are toward the end of your pregnancy when:

You sleep with at least this many pillows (spread out along your body, of course)

You are nesting like crazy. . .

And when you do need to sit down to take some weight off of your cankles you are writing these to your ward members for spoiling you at your recent baby shower they threw for you (photos coming soon...)

Only a few more weeks and we will be posting photos of our newest princess in the family.

I can't wait to meet her!

Our Toyota Tundra GOOD and BAD

On our way home from Hershey, PA our truck turned over 100,000 miles. This is bittersweet. Oh and the picture is terrible, but as you could see I was going 65 MPH when I was trying to take it (and I was only taking it to show Carson when we got back to the hotel).

A couple of weeks later Carson took the truck DEER HUNTING! Here is what the truck looks like now (it is in the process of getting repaired). Can you imagine what the poor dumb deer must look like. STUPID DANG DEER!!!

Pennsylvania Trip

Carson has been working in Pennsylvania during the last couple of months. He goes during the week and is home on the weekends. This particular week Carlee and I decided to join him and made a little vacation out of it. Here is pretty much what we did all week long (PERFECT if you ask me!):

Swim, Swim and MORE Swimming...

Take a break from swimming to order dinner or go out and get it.

Go back to the pool and make more new friends and swim some more...

Drive to Hershey, PA to visit the Chocolate World.

Watch the 4d movie at The Chocolate World

Pose from some photos in the center of it all...

Discover a little about chocolate at the Tasters Class.

Take the little ride, a couple of times, through the animated tour of how the factory works.

Make her own little souvenir box of Hershey Kisses.

A great week if I do say so myself...

Pioneer Day Picnic in the Park

Our Ward had a Pioneer Day Picnic in the Park to celebrate and honor the Pioneers and in rememberance of the 24th of July. Of course it would not have been a celebration without a GREEN JELL-O EATING CONTEST. Carlee and Carson both participated, but were beat out by our bishop. Carson's excuse was that he had eaten too much other food (it was held after dinner).

Getting instructions/rules before starting...

Carlee and one of her BFF's, Athena.

They added a little whipped cream last minute, of course.

Carlee making me so proud. Haha!

Carson looking so disgusted he didn't win and/or feeling like he wanted to puke.

Washington DC Temple View

While my Mom was in town we went to Washington DC to check out some sites and go to Carson's cousin Tim's wedding. It was awesome. I love that town and this temple is quickly becoming one of my favorite. Here is a picture of it coming from the opposite direction we normally do (we were coming back from the wedding luncheon). I bet it is GORGEOUS at night all lite up and standing out this much. We'll have to check that out next time.

Carlee in her birthday suit!!!

Her birthday SWIMSUIT!
This is the gifts Aunt Kailey and Uncle Josh sent with Grandma Becky for Carlee's birthday. She has pretty much used them out in this last couple of months. She LOVED them. Thanks again Kailey and Josh!!!

Busch Gardens with Grandma Becky

We were lucky enough to get a visit from Grandma Becky over the 4th of July and Carlee's 5th Birthday. We LOVED having her here. We didn't do as much as we normally would have if I wasn't pregnant, but we still did make time to do a few fun things. One of them being Busch Gardens. Grandma was a trooper. It was a HOT and HUMID day.

Getting ready for the 4d Pirate Movie to start.

Checking out the one of the Busch Gardens sheep.

This picture CRACKS me up. They have these little booths where you can go and get your picture with the Sesame Street Characters, but with it being so HOT and HUMID they have these HUGE fans blowing on the characters to keep them cool. I think in this picture my mom was enjoying it as much as Big Bird. TOO FUNNY!

Carlee and Grandma on the front row of the Elmo coaster.

Le Scoot. This is like the Log Flume at Lagoon. The ride took FOREVER to get on, but it was fun once we finally got on it. I know I was wishing for a lot more water to cool us off, but it wasn't that wet of a ride.

Craft Day at the Library

Every Monday this summer we have gone to the Williamsburg Library to make a craft. Carlee LOVES it. This is the first time we went. She made a cute little frog with a birthday horn blower for the tongue. She also made a painted/stamped handkerchief, a headband, a homemade fan, and some other stuff I can't remember. We should have taken more photos. We'll miss going now that it's over for the summer. However, not too much longer and she'll be making crafts in Kindergarten.

TWO visits from the Tooth Fairy

Our little girl is growing up SO fast. She has lost TWO teeth in the last few months. It has been the highlight of her summer. She has to mention it to everyone and anyone. She is SO proud of them.

She reminded me of the lightning bug on Princess and a Frog, Raymond. He has gaps all over the place just like she does in this photo. Too funny, but still pretty cute.
This 1st "toot" (as she calls it) was pulled out by her Dad.

The 2nd "toot" was SO loose that she was chewing/playing with some toy she got for her birthday and it flipped it out of her mouth. So she pulled it out by herself.

I think she might be the only kid I know that when we go to the dentist they tell us she really doesn't need to worry about flossing because her toothbrush can get in between her teeth. HAHA! However, still floss so that she has experience and will know to do it once her honkin' permanent teeth come in.

Summer List - Update

Counting down 'til school starts, baby Lucy arrives and Colette and Grandma come. I thought I better pull out our Summer 2011 list and cross off what we have done. Although we have been very busy this summer there is still LOTS left we would like to do. (I do need to mention we have done lots that is not on the list and that is ok too.) However, it looks like it is time to start planning with school less than a month away...

Busch Gardens with Students

EXCITED about something?!?!

Dancing the Irish dance in the middle of Ireland.

Meeting one of the dogs that is in the Pet Shinanigan Show. She does want to be a "beterinarian" someday...

These are a couple of pictures Missa and Julie took of Carlee at Busch Gardens. We went and met our Chinese students for a few hours before Carlee and I went to the Sibling Class at the hospital where I will deliver in one month... It was SUPER hot, but fun to be able to show them the "ropes."

Chinese Students

We had the privilege of hosting 2 students from China who were here visiting William and Mary for the week, and then going on to other cities for the period of a month. They were staying in dorms and their staff found out that they were going to be kicked out a week earlier than expected for other students. The person in charge is good friends with our Bishop and asked if there were any families interested in hosting that were members of our church. These 24 students really wanted to experience what life was like in an American home with family and religion (they came to church with us too). I almost didn't do it because Carson is working during the week in PA, but they got desperate for people and we have 3 empty rooms (one being a master bedroom) so I gave in. I am SO glad I did.

Missa and Julia (those are there American names) have changed our lives. They are so sweet and smart. They helped us realize/remember what a blessing it is to live in the USA. They were so great with Carlee (they just left yesterday and she is sad and already missing them so much). I know we will stay friends with them forever and hope that someday they come back to visit.

One of the students decided to get baptized after going to church and meeting with the missionaries a couple of times (in the one week period). The mission president got permission from the Quorum of the 70 and we all attended. It was AMAZING!

Missa and Julia

They asked what Carson liked to do (because he didn't play basketball with the boys one night) and he said, "Fish, hunt, dirt bike, etc" They then asked if he had guns. When he said that he did they wanted to see them and touch them, etc. It was funny!

Striking a pose!
