Digital Scrapbooking!

Remember my post not too long ago about my friend Tara who taught me so much about digital scrapbooking? Well she has kindly offered to come to Willard and teach a class at my house for 4 weeks to anyone that is interested in learning.

She teaches from Photoshop Elements. The class will be one night a week (I think on a Wed or Thurs) and will go for 4 weeks. You will be taught (hands-on if you have a laptop) get a disk with some pages, kits, etc to help you get started and a binder full of everything she is going to teach you (to refer back to). It will only cost $50.00 for all 4 weeks.

Space is limited so let me know ASAP if you want to do it. My house only holds so many people. Lol!

Her ears are pierced!

Carson and I have always disagreed on when Carlee would get her ears pierced. I have told her I would take her whenever she wanted it done, but she had to want it and also to be able to take care of them. Carson on the other hand wanted her to wait until she was 35.

Well Carlee's aunts talked her into having her ears pierced. She went with TONS of incentives and prizes in her hands. She did really well and only cried for a minute. She has done good at not touching them and reminding me to clean them.

She shows them off to EVERYONE!

Before the piercing. So scared she can't even give me a full smile.

After the piercing was done and the tears were gone.

BTW even Carson seems to like them and didn't have too much negative to say about me allowing her to be talked into having them done.

Disneys The Princess and the Frog!

It is FINALLY here. Carlee has been waiting, what seems like, years for the new princess movie to come out. We went the same day she had her tests done. It was an amazing movie and I think we will go back and see it again, but this time when she is not as tired and dealing with a sedation hangover.

It just goes to show that just like little black girls can pretend to be white princesses so can little white girls pretend to be black princesses. She walks around now saying that she is Tiana, and to kiss her so she can be a frog. Kids are SO funny and so NOT racist. They only see one color. One of the many reasons we are told to "be as a little child."

As for me... I want some good southern cooking now that I have seen it. :)

Kidney Reflux Testing...

Carlee has been getting Urinary Tract Infections (poor girl inherits all the crap Carson and I had as kids) so they referred her to the hospital to get some tests done. Because she is so young they chose to sedate her. These are photos before that all occurred. She was spoiled rotten and did quite well.

Patiently waiting to be wheeled off...

The 2nd toy received that day.
She LOVED that you could pull its arms and legs.

Introducing the 2 toys to each other.

Maybe not appropriate, but I could not pass up the opportunity to post her cute little bum.
She was peeking at all of the nurses and doctors and patients.
Little did she know they were peeking at her too.

The outcome is that she does have reflux in her right side. She was referred to Primary Children’s Medical Center (we are blessed to have such great hospitals and doctors so close to us). There we were told that she is at a stage 2 out of 5 and that it can be fixed with a small surgery or antibiotics (for a year). I chose the antibiotics for a year, but haven't filled the prescription yet. It just doesn't seem right although being sedated 3 times at the age of 3 1/2 doesn't seem so right either.

What are your thoughts?

Start of a new tradition?

Carson has been out of town so Carlee and I have been bonding and playing. Yesterday we went grocery shopping and they had Gingerbread houses with all the candy on sale for only $8.99 at Smiths. We bought one and put it together. It was SO much fun I think we will do it every year. Today Carlee has been going to check it out every few minutes. What a great tradition!

Putting the candy on "just right!"

SMILE!

The finished project!

The unfinished project. (Carlee wanted to take a photo of the Christmas tree). I haven't put the ornaments on yet. That might be tonight's project. Stay tuned...

Pony Rides!

My friend, Nicole, has a brother who owns a pony, Buffy. Carlee was invited to go and take a ride on Buffy. She wasn't quite dressed appropriately, but we were not going to pass up an opportunity for Pony Rides. Here are a few photos. . .

Carlee on Buffy.

I love that the pony's name is Buffy, because that is what my Uncle Jack use to call me when I was a little girl. I am sure because of my hair...

November Field Trip - Lee's Market

Carlee was SO excited for her November field trip because her Aunt Kailey was going with her (since I had/got to attend an IAWP Conference for work that day at Thanksgiving Point). They went to the local grocery store, Lee's Market. They got to see some of the departments and the grand finale was getting to check out some groceries. She had a great day. Thanks again Kailey for helping me out.

Disney on Ice-PRINCESSES!

Although Carlee wasn't feeling that great (the start of her Urinary Tract Infections that she gets to go to the hospital for Friday to be sedated to be tested, poor girl!) it was LOTS of fun. Carlee, Kailey and I spent the evening mesmorized by the performers talent and beauty. Our seats were so close we could see their boogers (hahaha, not really). It was the best event ever for my princess in training.

I do have to mention Kailey always spoils Carlee, and this time was not exception. She took her to get a toy from the overpriced section above us and out of the lite flowers, tiaras, princesses, etc. Carlee picked "THE BEAST." She loves him so much. He comes with her everywhere, baths with her and even sleeps with her. (THANKS KAILEY!)

Enjoy a few hundred photos from the fun event.

Before the show in her adorable Snow White attire.

All of us on the ice before the show.

The ONE she dressed up after. She did remove her gloves when she saw her because Snow White wasn't wearing any gloves. . .

Her favorite (BEAST and not Beauty). She is watching this show as I post this post...

I just got a new camera for this reason (the lens won't open all the way unless you do it). However, I wanted you to see her holding on to her Beast that Aunt Kailey bought her.

Her and Aunt Kailey.

Intermission

Waving goodbye to all of the Prince and Princesses.

All of them in their "Marriage" dresses.

Costco!

I LOVE Costco. It always costs me more to go there, but I still like to think that it is saving me money. Lol! I got this dress for Carlee for under $20.00. It is hard to make her look any cuter than she already is, but this dress is adorable and she loves to "turn around in it." It looks so cute on her. I love this girl SO much!

October Field Trip - Black Island Farms

Wow, I just pulled the camera out to take some photos of Carlee decorating her Gingerbread House and realized I had SO many pictures to post and blog about. Let's start with the oldest first:

In October I got to go with Carlee on her preschool fieldtrip to Black Island Farms in Syracuse. It was lots of fun. They take the kids on a wagon ride to show them some of the different produce they grow. Then they end at the pumpkin patch where they get to pick their own pumpkins. She LOVED it and I loved being with her. After the ride on the wagon they got to eat their sack lunches and play in the play area.

Here are some photos...

Carlee posing. She is SO good at it, and it cracks me up.
All the kids wear their purple shirts to help us find them when they wonder off. It is a great idea!

This is the WHOLE gang. This fieldtrip both 3 yr olds and 4 yr olds went
(and lots of moms to help).

Picking her pumpkin...

With her onion on the wagon ride behind the tractor.
She was more excited about that then her pumpkin AND they were about the same size.

On of the rides after the wagon ride. There really is lots to do there...
We will be going back every year.

In the feed corn (sand box). This is a great idea. Much easier to clean off then sand and just as fun. It feels kind of like a foot massage too when you rub your bare feet thru it. Yes, I tried it out...

Festival of the Trees

http://www.festivaloftreesutah.org/index.asp

Who wants to go? It is one of the best events surrounding Christmas in my opinion. It is all about the true meaning of Christmas. All items have been donated and all sales are 100% donated to Primary Childrens Hospital. My dream is to someday be able to go and purchase my tree at Festival of the Trees, because they all seem to be gorgeous and have a great reason or story for their donation.

I think I am going to go Friday if anyone wants to go let me know.

Blog Stocking. It's always SO fun!

Do I do it? HECK YES! I love it. I learn so much about others and get to catch up on some friends and family of friends along the way. Just tonight (while up from drinking a diet coke too late) I was looking at one of my friends blogs and clicked on one of her friends blogs only to find out it was one of my friends blogs (do you have all that so far?). Anyhow, she has us on her friends list. I just added her to mine. Oh and she has the cutest fonts on her blog. I need to go in and take those 27 steps to put the cute font on mine too. I LOVE it.

Please let me know if you have my on "your list" so I can add you to mine. I need to make sure I stay caught up on everyones life in case I run into you in the store, haha! I [HEART] blogging.

Time to go to bed... Goodnight!

hAlLOwEeN 2009!

Carlee was a "MEAN, GOOD" witch! She was SO happy about her costume and makeup.

Check out those shoes. You really can buy ANYTHING on ebay.

Trunk or Treating with Dannie Wilson (aka Gpa FRANKENSTEIN Dannie).

Carson and I at the Trunk or Treat.

On the way to Grandmas Halloween party. She was pooped from casting so many spells...

SO tired, in fact, she couldn't even hold her head up. CUTE little witch with a HAT!

Guitar Hero anyone?

She was rockin' the house!

OK Mom, I am ready to go to the store...

Check out those shoes and purse. She is going to be the next host for "What NOT to wear!" She almost broke her ankle walking into the store, but it was so worth it once she got all the comments on how cute she looked (even if she had just gotten out of the bathtub and her hair was not done).
ALL GIRL!!!

Texas Road House, baby!

My little sister Colette has a side job at the Texas Roadhouse in Bountiful. (Go and see her if you are ever in the area...leave her a BIG tip!) Anyhow, we decided one day to go and see her at work on the way to something (I can't remember what). However, I have to post the photos. Carlee CRACKS me up!!! She might be my kid after all... [SORRY these photos were taken with my phone.]

Oh I forgot to mention we took TWO of her tables with all of us.
This is Colette taking an order at my Mom and Lindsey's table.

Large STEAK or else?!?

Dancing in the booth as much as she can. I was glad that plant was glued to the wall behind her.

I love this photo of US. She is such a little poser whenever a picture is being taken. Maybe someday she will make us our first million...

Lovin on new little baby Lexi. Again, Carlee had to pose. :)

Dancing and singing. Pretty sure Colette will not invite us to come again (at least not and claim us as family).

Just when you think it can't get better...

She pulls out the saddle and let's her go to town!

At this point Carlee might have been stealing all the attention. What do you think?

One last photo before she decided to hop off and walk herself into the bar and make herself a drink.
Good thing I love her so much!!!
