Hampton Carousel

Wanting to try and do something "new" at least once a week we hit up the Hampton Carousel one night before Christmas. We barely made it before they closed, but we did and we were the only ones on it. Oh and we got to see Santa and Mrs Claus on the way out. Good times!

Just our view...

Just our view...

On the way to see our friends, The Larsens. I am SO thankful for them and to have close friends close to us. We love to go and see them. They are only 30 minutes away with no traffic and we may be moving even closer to them soon. WAHOO! I will keep you posted.

Virginia Beach Aquarium

Carlee and I got invited to the Virginia Beach Aquarium with our friends the Stockburgers. We LOVE Aquariums and this one is AMAZING! Here are a few photos for your enjoyment:

Of course we had to try on a few "hats" in the gift shop.

Just one of the hundreds of tanks and gallons of water.

DINNER! We wish. This lobster was HUGE.

Ahhhh! Caught by Jaws. In this photo Muggy was dinner. LOL!

The shark tank. We stopped and sat in the sitting area in front of this tank. The kids as you can see enjoyed some running around...

Carlee's highlight was the touching/hands on area.
Here she got to hold a crab, starfish and a few other things I can't remember.

Riding the dolphin with Isaac and Lizzie (our twin friends).

Check out those colors.

A few alligators...

An awesome tank that goes overtop your head.
These are some stingrays we loved watching swim overhead.

Some HUGE dragons.

Carlee in the dragon tank.

A shot of the overhead tank.

Lights on the Beach

For another FHE we went to Virginia Beach to Lights on the Beach. It was SO AWESOME! You drive on the Boardwalk and see out both sides of the windows amazing lights displayed (most have to do with an ocean theme). They also give you a CD that has music, etc that is in sync with the lights. It's fun to be able to watch the waves crashing in the reflection of the lights. Definitely a new tradition for us. . .

Disclaimer: these photos were taken with my phone while the truck was moving,
but at least you get the idea, right?

Mom, Kailey and Colette visiting US!

I mentioned that my Mom and sisters Colette and Kailey came to see us over my birthday in November. However, let me post a few more photos of what we did for fun (even though I loved just hanging out with them doing nothing but talking also).

Ready to go and play for the day. This is in front of our apartment.

We slept in (well WE did, they were still waking up early for the time they were use to). Carlee would go and jump into bed with them so they were waking up even if they didn't want to.

We went to the Spa on the Boulevard in Virginia Beach. We got SPOILED rotten. We all had a facial, pedicure and massage. It was an AWESOME birthday present. Thanks again Colette!

We went to Colonial Williamsburg and went to the Palace and then went shopping. LOL! We could have spent days there seeing all of the sights, but we will have to go back because we went and ate at this place that was SO good for lunch and then ended up shopping the rest of the day.

Photobucket
We went to the Farmers Market. I LOVE this place. It is the best for grocery shopping.

We went and saw the sights. Check out this view! We made my Mom pose for a photo. We'll see how often she looks at my blog by who quickly she calls and tells me to remove this photo. LOL!

All of us at Sandy Bottom Park.

They were setting up Christmas and flocking the tree. Little did the city know they wouldn't need fake snow this year.

It was LOTS of fun. I can't wait for my family to come back and visit again...
